AND g DAVID BRAUD, § Defendants. g DALLAS COUNTY, TEXAS ORDER DENYING PLAINTIFF’S MOTION TO EQUALIZE PEREMPTORY STRIKES AND GRANTING DEFENDANT’S MOTION TO CONTINUE TRIAL On this date came on to be considered Defendant’s Response to Plaintiffs Motion to Equalize Peremptory Strikes (“Plaintiff’s Motion”) and Motion to Continue Trial (“Defendant UTI’s Motion”), filed in response with its Response to Plaintiff‘s Motion to Equalize Peremptory Strikes and Notice of Conflicting Trials. Defendant UTI in the above-entitled and numbered cause requests this Court DENY Plaintiff‘s Motion and GRANT UTI’s Motion to Continue the current trial setting of March 7, 2022, in this case. The Court, being of the opinion that good cause has been shown to grant the relief requested, finds that Plaintiff’s Motion should be DENIED, and the parties shall all maintain the number of peremptory strikes as allotted under the Texas Rules. Additionally, the Court finds Defendant UTI’s Motion to Continue Trial should in all respects be GMNTED. It is, therefore, ORDERED, ADJUDGED, AND DECREED that the Defendant’s Motion to Continue Trial herein be, and same hereby is, GRANTED. Plaintiff s Motion to Equalize Peremptory Strikes is DENIED.
