NOW COMES the Defendant, Randy O. Ford, in the above-entitled matter, by and through
his attorney, and respectfully requests that this Honorable Court transfer the pending 209A (Docket
No. 2125RO0496) from the Barnstable District Court to the within Court. “
AS GROUNDS FOR THIS MOTION, the Plaintiff states that the Probate Court is familiar
with the parties and the issues between the parties. Further, that the case in the Probate Court deals
with custody and care of the minor children, and therefore, there would be more appropriate orders
rendered under the restraining order if this Court takes jurisdiction.
WHEREFORE the Defendant prays this Honorable Coutt will transfer the 209A Restraining
Order from the Barnstable District Court to this Court.
