IN RE; CREATION OF SECTION SD 06
AND REDISTRIBUTION OF CASES IN
THE COUNTY CTVIL DIVISION OF THE
ELEVENTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT OF FLORIDA
/
WHEREAS, the Court has determined that it is necessary to establish one additional
judicial section to accommodate the increase in new case filings and address the inequities in
judicial workioad in the South Dade Justice Center, location 26.
NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the authority vested in me as Chief Judge of the
Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, under Rule 2.215 of the Florida Rules of General Practice and
Judicial Administration, it is hereby ORDERED that:
Ll. Section SD 06 is established in the County Civil Division in the South Dade Justice
Center, location 26.
2. The Clerk of Court shall take the following actions in order to achieve equity in the
distribution of cases in the County Civil Division of the Court:
a. ‘The Clerk of Court shall make a one-time transfer of all identified civil cases
in the existing caseload from all judicial Sections filed in the South Dade
Justice Center, location (26), that are pending less than 76 days, and shail
reassign said cases to judicial Section SD 06 in the South Dade Justice
Center, location (26).
b. Thereafter, judicial Section SD 06 shall be included in the blind-filing
configuration for distribution and assignment of all County Court (CC) and
Summary Procedure (SP) cases filed in the South Dade Justice Center,
location (26), in accordance with established blind-filing procedures for
assignment and reassignment of cases.
This Administrative Order shall take effect on August 6, 2021, and shalf remain in effect
until further order of the Court.
DONE AND ORDERED in Chambers at Miami-Dade County, Florida, this 3 day
of August 2021.
