                           Having    considered    Plaintiffs’   Emergency      Motion    to Sever   Purdue    Due   to  Bankruptcy



                           It is  therefore   ORDERED        that  the  Plaintiffs’   Motion    is hereby    GRANTED         and   that

                  Plaintiffs’   claims   against   Purdue    Pharma     L.P.,  Purdue    Pharma     Inc.,  The   Purdue     Frederick

                  Company,      The   Purdue    Frederick    Company,      Inc.,  Purdue    Pharmaceuticals      L.P.,   and  Purdue

                  Pharma    Manufacturing L.P.       (“Purdue    Defendants”) are      hereby   severed   from the   original   Cause

                  No. 2018-77083, styled in the clerk’s system as

                           This  Court   hereby    orders  the  clerk  of  the  Court   to place   the Purdue    Defendants     into  a

                  separate, severed action with the separate Cause No. 2018-77083-A, styled County of Nueces v.

                  Purdue    Pharma,    L.P.  (“Severed     Action”),   and  to  include   in that  Severed   Action    the f
                           Plaintiffs’ Original Petition and Request for Disclosure, filed on July 3, 2018, originally
                           filed  in Nueces     County,   Cause    No.   2018CCV-61176-4,         (included    as Exhibit   C   to the
                           Motion);

                           Purdue Pharma, L.P., Purdue Pharma Inc., The Purdue Frederick Company, The Purdue
                           Frederick     Company,        Inc.,   Purdue     Pharmaceuticals        L.P.,   and    Purdue      Pharma
                           Manufacturing,       L.P.’s   Original    Answer     to   Plaintiff’s   Original    Petition,   Doc.    No.
                           83941587, filed on February 18, 2019, originally filed in Harris County, Cause No. 2018-

                  The Severed Action will remain active, although subject to the bankruptcy stay to the extent that

                  the law requires.     Plaintiff will cover administrative costs associated with the clerk’s opening of
