RE 3 Filing Notice of Appearance; Entry of No Contest Plea; Request
for Withhold Adjudication without Hearing
CASE : State vs. Nancy Redelman; Case No: 21-5214-TR.
DATE : July 19, 2021 “<6
Please forward the attached to Judge Burns for his consideration, without the necessity of a
hearing being set. Please provide our office with the sentencing sheet so that we may forward same
to our client. Thank you.
Judge Burns:
In support of our request for a withhold adjudication and 90 days to pay this substantial
speeding citation, we would advise the Court:
(a) Ms. Redelman is upset at herself for not seeing the speed limit sign at issue, and insisted
on filing her attached, personal explanation for Your Honor’s consideration; (b) Ms. Redelman
advises having an excellent driving record, i.c. she has never received a ticket in 60 years of driving;
(c) undersigned counsel everyday drives by the location where this citation occurred — a new small
bridge is being built on Peachland Boulevard which has brought about 10mph speed limit signs near
the construction zone. If driving by this area for the first time, the signs are oddly placed and can
easily be missed; and (d) Ms. Redelman and her family are personally known to counsel and are
long-time Charlotte County residents.
If the Court feels an additional sanction is necessary, Defendant would certainly understand
and immediately attend an appropriate driver improvement course. Thank you as always for your
consideration.

Dear Judge Burns,
| write this letter for your consideration. On March 25, 2021, t was cited for speeding. | was on my way
home from the Wound Center and in some discomfort. It was not my intention to exceed the speed
limit. | am avoiding Peachland due to the construction and will continue to avoid that area until the
bridge is complete. | take total responsibility for this mistake. 1 have been a driver for 60+ years and this
is my first speeding ticket. | respect the laws of our state and country and will be more aware of the
speed limit.
| hope you will consider this letter of explanation.
Sincerely,
Nancy J. Redelman
