I represent Plaintiff Erica Johnson in this medical malpractice trial, now scheduled before
you August 5", Based on information that has just come to my attention and that of my client, I
must respectfully ask that your Honor consider recusal and assignment of this matter to another
judge.
One of my new partners, Karl Friedrichs, Esquire, advised me on June 20" by chance that
he worked with you at your former law firm Savio, Reynolds and Drake in the defense of the
Defendant in this case, Dr. Korzeniowski. | am certain that-your Honor has not previously noted
the caption of this case and did not realize this conflict when the matter was listed before you.
In addition, an important witness is a subsequent treating physician, Barry Kimmel,
M_LD., Urology, who advised me on June 19" after his video for trial deposition that you also
represented him “several times”. For these reasons, I ask by this letter that you reassign this
matter at this time. If your Honor wishes a conference on this matter or if a formal motion is
required, please advise. In all other respects, the case is ready to proceed to trial on August 5",
