DECISION DENYING PARTIES JOINT MOTION FOR A STATUS CONFERENCE TO
SCHEDULE A NEW TRIAL DATE
On March 21, 2019, the parties filed a motion to schedule a status conference to determine a
new trial date. Because the trial date is soon approaching, currently scheduled for April 8, 2019,
parties do not want to expend unnecessary time preparing for trial while the various motions for
summary judgment are still pending. The Court is understanding of this position, but does not deem
it necessary to schedule a status conference or new trial date at this time. The Court plans on ruling
on the motions before the April 8, 2019 trial date, and depending on the result of the decisions, the
Court will vacate the trial date if needed. In the meantime, the Court instructs parties not to prepare
for trial to spare unnecessary expense. For these reasons, the Court DENIES the parties joint motion
for a status conference to schedule a new trial date.
