PLAINTIFF’S MOTION FOR LEAVE TO EXAMINE PROSPECTIVE JURORS
Plaintiff moves this Court, pursuant to paragraph C.1. of Superior Court Standing
Order 1-15, for leave for her attorney to examine the prospective jurors at the trial of this matter.
The general topics of the questions plaintiff proposes to ask the prospective jurors are:
1 Any preconceptions or biases that the prospective jurors may have regarding:
a. personal injury lawsuits in general;
b. awarding money damages for pain and suffering;
2. The prospective jurors’ willingness and ability to accept and apply the civil burden of
proof— preponderance of the evidence , rather than the more familiar “beyond a reasonable doubt”
applicable in criminal cases.
