I am the Referee duly appointed in the above-referenced mortgage foreclosure action. A
foreclosure sale of the above-referenced property was scheduled for July 26, 2017, at 12:30 P.M.
On July 25, 2017, we received notification via fax transmission from Mitchell J. Canter, Esq., that
mortgagors Arshad M. Qazi and Samina A. Qazi filed a Chapter 7 petition in bankruptcy in the
Southern District of New York, under Case No. 17-23156. A copy of that notification is annexed.

Due to the bankruptcy filing, the foreclosure sale scheduled for July 26, 2017, was canceled and
therefore, no surplus money form was submitted. In light of this fact, I respectfully request that the
Surplus Monies status conference scheduled for August 30, 2017, be adjourned until the bankruptcy
is completed.
