Conference Date. This cause is hereby set for a case management conference on APRIL 10, 2008 at 9:00 a.m., at the Judge Lynn N. Silvertooth Judicial Center, 2002 Ringling Blvd., Courtroom 6B, Sarasota, FL. Counsel shall bring their professional calendars. At least twenty (20) cases have been set. Attendance is not required if a trial stipulation is submitted in accordance with Paragraph 2 of this order directly to the judge's chambers at least three (3) working days prior to the conference. Failure to attend the conference or submit a stipulation will result in the Court selecting a binding trial date. NO MOTIONS WILL BE HEARD AT CASE MANAGEMENT CONFERENCES. 2. Trial Stipulations. The trial stipulation shall: a. Indicate whether the trial is jury or non-jury, and the estimated length of trial. b. Specify a trial period from the list provided in paragraph 3. c. Certify that each attorney has read and agrees to abide by the Local Rules and Standards of Professionalism of the 12" Judicial Circuit (located at www.12circuit.state.fl.us) d. Include counsels’ telephone and fax numbers, plus email addresses. Upon timely submission of a trial stipulation, the court will enter a trial order for the trial period (which includes a referral to mediation). Any objections under FLA.R.CIv.P. 1.440 lyin NGT f3. Telephone Appearances: No telephone appearances will be allowed at Case Management Conferences. Attorneys have the option of avoiding the Case Management Conference by submitting a trial stipulation as described above. If, after conferring, counsel are unable to stipulate to a trial date and an attorney is unable to attend the Case Management Conference (or have someone appear for them), the attorney may fax a letter to the judge’s office (with a copy simultaneously being faxed to all opposing counsel) indicating the estimated length of trial and the trial period they prefer, and why they are unable to stipulate to the period opposing counsel is requesting. Please consult clients and witnesses before selecting a trial period. Continuances will rarely be granted, and then only upon a showing of an unanticipated event good cause.
