The Court has considered the Application of Plaintiff Coastside Land Trust ("CLT") for

an order directing the publication of summons against Defendants (1) the unknown heirs and
21
devisees of Dennis W. McQuaid, deceased, and (2) All Persons Unknown, Claiming Any Legal or
22
Equitable Right, Title, Estate, Lien, or Interest in the "McQuaid Parcels" (APN 048-155-130 and
23
APN 048-137-140) Adverse to Plaintiffs Title, or Any Cloud on Plaintiffs Title Thereto, along

with the evidence presented in support thereof.

The Court FINDS that:

1. CLT has used reasonable diligence to ascertain the identity and residence of each
27
unknown Defendant and to serve summons on each such unknown Defendant.

1 2. Each Defendant named in the Complaint has an interest in the McQuaid Parcels
2 One and Two in the Complaint and the relief requested will exclude Defendants from that
3 interest.
4 3. The McQuaid Parcels One and Two are located in San Mateo County and thus are
5 within the jurisdiction of the Court.
6 IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that:
7 1. CLT's Application for Publication of Summons is GRANTED.
8 2. Service of summons in this action for each Defendant shall be made by publication
9 in San Mateo Daily Journal, a newspaper of general circulation in this State and which is
10 published in San Mateo, California.
11 4. Publication of the service of summons shall be made once a week for four
12 consecutive weeks and shall include a description of the real property at issue.
13 5. IfCLT learns the identity and address of any Defendant before the expiration of
14 the four weeks of publication described above, CLT shall mail a copy of the summons and
15 complaint and a copy of the order of publication to such Defendant.
16 6. No later than ten days after the date this Order is filed, CLT shall post a copy of the
17 summons and complaint in this action in a conspicuous place on the real property at issue.
18 7. IfCLT has not already done so, CLT must promptly record a notice of pendency of
