Repayment Plan: Agreement plan that allows the homeowner to repay the amount that you are behind gradually while making your regularly scheduled monthly payments. 5). Short Sale: Lender may allow you to sell the home for less than the total amount owed on the mortgage. If the lender agrees to the short sale, the remaining portion of the mortgage that exceeds the net proceeds from the sale will be written off by the lender. 6).
