1. Comes now Petitioner Lawanna Mitchell, single person and states that the minor
named below

requires the appointment of a guardian of the person because: The parents are unfit,
unwilling or unable to have custody of the minor child as the Mother and Father of the
minor child are both deceased.
2. The natural mother of the child, Notan Official Cou is deceased having passed on
November 29, 2020.
3. The biological and legal father of the child, MM is deceased having passed
on or about February 27, 2024.
4. The minor is domiciled in Lawrence County, Missouri with the Petitioner, who is her
aunt. The minor child has resided in Lawrence County with Lawanna Mitchell since on
or about December 15, 2022 or for the 90 days preceding the filing of this Petition for
Guardianship.
5. The nature, extent and estimated value of the minor's assets so far as is known to
Petitioners is set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by this
reference. The value of the minor’s estate is less than $10,000 therefore no
conservatorship is being requested,
6. The name and address of the minor's parents, spouse, if any, and children, if any, are
set forth in Exhibit B attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.
