Title to said Property was taken b y vesti ng deed, which took a portion of the Property in the name of the First Me thodi st Episcopal Society in Hamlin by Warranty Deed dated March 15, 1869 an id recorded March 17, 1869 in Liber 226 Deeds, at page 447 (the “First Deed” of ). Subsequently, a portion of the Property was conveyed in the name of the First Methodist Episcop al Society of Hamlin, N.Y. by Grant and Release Deed recorded February 7, 1870 in Liber 233 of Deed, at page 463 (the “Second Deed”). fe That on January 1, 1902, there was a m ortgage made in the name of the First Society of the Methodist Episcopal Church in tl he Tow: n of Hamlin recorded January 8, 1902 in Liber 452 of Mortgages at page 453 (the “Mortgage”). That the Stewart Title Insurance Comp: any was retained to complete a Certified Abstract of Title (the “Abstract”) for Hamlin United Methodist Church. In the Abstract, Stewart Title Insurance Company identified the Methodist Episcopal Church and Parsonage a s a name associated with th e Church. This association is consistent with historical Church records. That the Church was originally formed as the First Methodist E piscopal Society in Hamlin prior to March 15, 1869. That by virtue of Religious Corporations Law §§ 321 and 321 -a, all Methodist Episcopal Churches became Methodi st Chur ches, and later United Methodist Churches. That Hamlin United Methodist Church (as the Church is currently known), the First Methodist Episcopal Society in Hamlin (as refer enced in the First Deed), the First Methodist Episcopal Society of Hamlin, N.Y. (as referenced in the Second Deed), the First Society of the Methodist E piscopal Church in the Town of Hamlin (as referenced in the Mortgage), the M ethodist Episc opal Church & Parsonage (as .
