that day is excluded from the computation. It Is Imperative that the Notice of Seizure of Motor Vehicle always be
submitted to the County Attorney's Office to allow for the timely scheduling and staffing of the 96 hour hearing.
Service of this notice must be made on the Registered Owner within 48 hours of the seizure. Under Minn. Stat. §
609.5312 Subd. 4(e) oil-road recreational vehicles and motorboats will remain in custody pending the filing of a separate
complaint against the vehicles to process forfeiture. The Registered Owner will be notified of the complaint when it is filed.
