PROTECTIVE ORDER REQUIRING DEPOSITION OF TODD SEILER
TO BE CONDUCTED REMOTELY
THIS CAUSE came on for consideration on July 27, 2020 on Discount Tire Co.'s Motion
for Protective Order Requiring Deposition of Todd Seiler to be Conducted Remotely, the Court
having considered the relevant legal authority, having heard arguments of counsel, and being
otherwise fully advised, it is hereby,
ORDERED AND ADJUDGED:
1. The Motion is GRANTED IN PART and DENIED IN PART;
2. The deposition of Todd Seiler shall proceed in person within the next thirty (30) days
only under the following conditions:
a. Plaintiff's counsel shall demonstrate that the deposition will be held in a room
large enough to accommodate all those who wish to be present (including the
08/25/2020 11:47:37 AM Clerk of the Circuit Court, Volusia County, Florida
witness, court reporter, videographer, attorney(s) for plaintiff, attorneys for
defendants) with everyone remaining six (6) feet apart at all times;
b. Everyone present in the deposition room shall wear face coverings, covering
their mouths and noses, at all times;
c. The witness shall be provided with a separate binder of exhibits, and no papers
shall be handed back and forth with the witness.
d. Any counsel wishing to appear remotely may do so, after arrangements made
by that counsel with the court reporter.
