PARTIAL MOTION FOR JUDG ON THE PLEADINGS
Defendant State Teachers Retirement Board and Plaintiffs Dean Dennis and Bob Buerkle
submit this joint motion asking this Court to extend the deadlines to respond to Defendant’s partial
motion for judgment on the pleadings. Defendant filed its partial motion for judgment on the
pleadings on March 25, 2022. Plaintiffs’ opposition is currently due April 8, 2022 and Defendants’
reply brief is due April 15, 2022. The requested extension would allow Plaintiffs’ until May 2,
2022 to file their opposition and would allow Defendant until June 1, 2022 to file its reply brief.
Neither party has requested an extension.
Additional time is needed to account for defense counsel’s involvement with trial
preparation in multiple upcoming trials and the impending Holidays. This joint-request will not
interfere with any current deadlines, and will not cause either Party prejudice or delay. The Parties
therefore respectfully request this Court grant their Joint Motion to Extend the Briefing Schedule
on Defendant’s Partial Motion for Judgment on the Pleadings. A proposed order is attached
