2.0 PROPERTIES & REOUIREMENIS
2.1 Infrared Identification (IM7261)
The infrared spectrum of the sample should exhibit absorption bands of the same pattern and
placement as those exwbited by the standard, with no extraneous bands present, as determined by
a qualified analyst. '
2.2 Microbial Limits (TM7807 and Current USP)
Samples s11all contain no detectable objectionable microorganisms and the total count shall be no
greater than 50 microorganisms per gram of product.
3.0 CERTIFICATE OF ANALYSIS
3.1 A Certificate of Analysis labeled "~" (IA) will accompany each batch and provide
numerical analytical results for items 3.1.1 through 3.1.7 below; Sec's. 3.1.8 through 3.1.11 below
will be reported as pasS, or fail. The certificate shall include silo number, batch number, date
assayed, date silo cleared, and the railcar or trailer number (if a trailer is used to ship directly to
Royston) or lot numbe~ of bags. Receipt of Certificate of Analysis is an accepth:eject criterion.
