THE ELEVENTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA CASE NO. 21-1 (Court Administration) ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 21-22 IN RE: CREATION OF SECTION CL 02 AND REDISTRIBUTION OF CASES IN THE COUNTY CIVIL DIVISION OF THE ELEVENTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT OF FLORIDA ___________________________________/ WHEREAS, the Court has determined that it is necessary to establish one additional judicial section to accommodate the increase in new case filings and address the inequities in judicial workload in the Joseph Caleb Center Court, location 20. NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the authority vested in me as Chief Judge of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, under Rule 2.215 of the Florida Rules of General Practice and Judicial Administration, it is hereby ORDERED that: 1. Section CL 02 is established in the County Civil Division in the Joseph Caleb Center Court, location 20, effective November 8, 2021. 2. The Clerk of Court shall take the following actions to achieve equity in the distribution of cases in the County Civil Division of the Court: a. The Clerk of Court shall make a one-time transfer of all identified civil cases in the existing caseload filed in the Joseph Caleb Center Court, location (20), that are pending less than 150 days, and shall reassign said cases from judicial Section CL 01 to judicial Section CL 02 in the Joseph Caleb Center Court, location (20). b. Thereafter, judicial Section CL 02 shall be included in the blind-filing configuration for distribution and assignment of County Court (CC) and Summary Procedure (SP) cases filed in the Joseph Caleb Center Court, location (20), in accordance with established blind-filing procedures for assignment and reassignment of cases. This Administrative Order shall take effect on November 8, 2021 and shall remain in effect until further order of the Court.
