K. THIS IS MANDATORY Mediation is hereby ordered to be conducted no later than
thirty days before the trial date and no later than the final
pre-trial date if so extended by agreement of all parties
before the trial date and certainly by the final pre-trial date.
L. The case is estimated to last 3 - 4 days
M. The case is set before a Jury trial
N. Miscellaneous
1. All motions needing a hearing and/or submission date, shall include an Order
Setting Hearing/ Submission. If no notice of setting is received by Movant, then
Movant shall contact the District Clerk's Office to ensure the Order Setting
Hearing/Submission was attached to the motion and taken to the court.
2. The Joint Pre-Trial Agreement shall include a proposed Jury Charge
(single spaced), if the case will be a jury trial.
3. All parties shall confer amongst themselves on Motions in Limine prior to the
date of trial. On the morning of trial, the Court will make a ruling on the Motions
in Limine that are agreed on and those not agreed will be addressed by the Court.
4. Any motions needing to be addressed by the Court at the time fo the First
Pre-Trial and Final Pre-Trial hearings SHALL be filed no later than the MONDAY
before said hearing. Said mtions shall include an Order Setting Hearing to be set
by the Court on the First and/or Final Pre-Trial hearings. If the motion is not set
by the court, then the Motion will not be set at the time fo the First and/or Final
Pre-Trial Hearings.
5. Parties shall confer prior to the date of trial on depostions excerpts and shall
provide to the court no later than the Final Pre-Trial date any deposition excerpts
with objections that need rulings.
O. THIS CASE MAY BE DISMISSED FOR WANT OF PROSECUTION ON
THE FAIILURE OF ANY PARTY SEEKING AFFIRMATIVE RELIEF TO

JOINT PRETRIAL ORDER
Pursuant to Rule 3 of the Hidalgo County Local Rules of Court, the Parties shall prepare
and file with the clerks of the Court a Joint Pretrial Order. The Joint Pretrial Order shall
be signed by the Parties or their attorneys of record and filed with the clerks 1 day prior
to the Final Pretrial Conference scheduled by the Court. The Joint Pretrial Orders shall
contain the information set forth below.
1 A list of the name of all the Parties, whether represented or Pro Se, and the
Names, Bar Numbers, Addresses and Telephone Numbers of all counsel.
2 A list of all pending motions by the Parties, including motions in limine.
The Parties shall state which motions require a hearing by the court. If no
motions are pending, the Parties are to so state.
3 A statement as to the status of discovery or that discovery is completed.
4 A list of all witnesses to be called at trial by the Parties and a brief
statement as to the matter of their testimony.
5 A list of all exhibits expected to be offered at trial. Each party shall make
the exhibits available for examination by opposing counsel. If there is a
disagreement as to the authenticity or admissibility of any of the exhibits,
the Parties shall notify the court at or prior to the Final Pretrial Conference.
6 Each party shall attach a proposed jury charge including instructions,

definitions and questions to the Joint Pretrial Order.
7 A statement by each party as to the approximate number of days for trial
and any special scheduling difficulties of Counsel, Parties or Witnesses.

outcome of mediation conference.
All exhibits are to be pre-marked with inadmissible matters redacted prior to trial.
Page and line designation for video taped deposition excerpts shall be exchanged by the
parties prior to trial. Failure to comply with this order may result in the exclusion of
exhibits, witnesses or denial of motions. Failure to review exhibits tendered by the
opposing party and lodge objections may result in a waiver of those objections.
