                          With regard to the above matters, I sent a letter on February 3, 2022 to request
                          interdepartmental judicial assignment pursuant to G.L. c. 211B, s. 9 and Trial Court Rule
                          XIL. Our office is counsel to JoAnne Breau in these matters.

                          On March 30, 2022, I received a letter containing an objection to our request for
                          assignment from Mr. Dunbar’s counsel, Attorney Patricia Johnstone.              '

                          Trial Rule XII requires that “[a]ny party opposing the request will have seven days from
it



 receipt of the request to submit to the CIAM and Chief Justices of the respective Departments a
 letter in opposition with a statement of the reasons therefor. ”

 As the objection to the request for interdepartment judicial Assignment as not timely filed as
 required by the Trial Court Rule, we respectfully request that the objection be stricken.

 The Honorable Jennifer M. R. Ulwick, the Honorable Thomas Drechsler and counsel |for Mr.
Dunbar have been provided with a copy of this letter.
