21 the Van Nuys East Courthouse of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Plaintiff John Burkett
22 (“Plaintiff”) will and hereby does move the Court for an order taxing $1,698.50 from the Memorandum
23 of Costs served and filed by Defendant in this action on 03/27/2023 (“Costs Memorandum”) on the
24 grounds that item Nos. 5 and 10 of Defendant’s Costs Memorandum in the amounts of $498.50 for
25 witness subpoenas and $1,200.00 for attorney fees, respectively, (totaling $1,698.50) should be stricken
26 by the Court.
27 More specifically, the $498.50 for witness subpoenas (Item No. 5 of Costs Memorandum) was
28 not reasonably necessary to the conduct of the litigation, and the $1,200.00 for attorney fees under CCP
