The Court, in an abundance of caution, discloses the following facts: Prior to being appointed to the
bench in September 2009, Judge Richard K. Sueyoshi was a partner at the law firm of Downey Brand
LLP. For cases involving Downey Brand LLP, Judge Sueyoshi finds no grounds for disqualification
for cause under Code of Civil Procedure Secfion 170.1 based upon that fonner relafionship.
Downey Brand LLP attomeys who were former partners of Judge Sueyoshi may now be members of
other law fums including, but not limited to: Delfino Madden O'Malley Coyle & Koewler LLP,
Reynolds Tilbury Woodward LLP, and Mitchell Chadwick LLP. At no fime has Judge Sueyoshi been
affiliated with such other law firms. For cases involving such law firms, the Court similarly finds no
grounds for disqualification for cause as to those former partners.
