MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME FOR FILING RECORD
The Appellant, Christopher Otero-Rivera, by and through the
undersigned attorney, pursuant to Florida Rules of Criminal Procedure 9.200(e)
and 9.300, moves this Honorable Court to enter its Order extending the time within
which the Record on Appeal must be filed with this Court. As grounds therefor the
Appellant states as follows:
1. Notice of Appeal and Designation to the Court Reporter were filed
in this cause with the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Ninth Judicial Circuit, on July 30,
2021.
2. The Record on Appeal is due November 17, 2021.
3. Additional time is required for the Clerk to transmit the Record to
this Court.
4. To allow adequate time for the Clerk to transmit the Record to this
Court, Appellant respectfully requests this Honorable Court to extend the time for
filing of the Record for thirty (30) days from the due date.5. The undersigned attorney has consulted opposing counsel,
Assistant Attorney General Rebecca McGuigan, and is authorized to represent that
the State of Florida has no objection to the proposed extension of time.
WHEREFORE, Appellant respectfully requests this Honorable Court
to enter its Order extending the time for filing of the Record thirty (30) days from
the due date.
