Cheryl Pedisich Superintendent of Schools THREE VILLAGE CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT May 29, 2013 Parent/Guardian of Logan Ryan 21 Bobcat Lane East Setauket, NY 11733 Superintendent's - Logan Ryan Hearing Dear Parent/Guardian: Pursuant to Education Law §3214, a Superintendent's Hearing was held on May 29, 2013 at the District Administration Building, 100 Suffolk Avenue, Stony Brook, New York. Pursuant to the statute, Dr. Stephen Neidell was the designated Hearing Officer. Also present at the Hearing were Dr. A. Baum, Ward Melville HS Principal; Mr. Ryan, father; Mrs. Ryan, mother; and Logan Ryan, student. Based on the testimony of the district'switnesses, Dr, Baum and Mr. Cappabianca, and Logan Ryan's own testimony, Logan was found guiltyof allof the charges. Logan admitted to many of the charges, but did not recall making threatening statements. At the May 29, 2013 Manifestation Meeting, itwas determined that Logan's actionsof May 22, 2013 were a result ofhis disability. the results of a psychiatric evaluation and a follow- Pending up CSE meeting, Logan will remain on home instruction. Upon returning to school Logan will have a re-entry rneeting with a parent, staffand administration.
