AMJAD HUSSAIN, being duly sworn, deposes and says:
1. I am a plaintiff in this action and am familiar with the following facts and
circumstances.
2. This affidavit is submitted in support of the motion for summary judgment.
3. On December 29, 2018 at approximately 4:40 pm., my wife (Kalsoom Ara)
and I were in the parking lot at the shopping center in Lake Grove Village, located
in Suffolk County, NY. We had just finished shopping and were loading the bags
of groceries into the back of our parked vehicle. The parking lot has rows of
parking spaces, and our vehicle was parked front forward in one of the spaces.
Kalsoom and I were standing at the rear of our vehicle, placing the groceries into
defendants'
the vehicle from the grocery cart when suddenly, the rear of vehicle hit
Kalsoom and the grocery cart, causing the grocery cart to hit me.
4. The police arrived at the scene and took a statement from the driver of the
vehicle that hit us. According to the police report, the driver of the other vehicle
was backing out when it hit us.
5. While at the scene, I was more concerned with my wife's Kalsoom's
condition than my own. I do not know why the police report does not include my
name.

6 The accident was caused entirely by the defendants without any negligence
on my or Kalsoom's part.
