Rashawn James Index No.: 602560/2021 Dear Sir or Madam: As you are undoubtedly aware, the County of Nassau commenced a civil forfeiture action against you on 3/3/2021. According to our records, you were served with a copy of the complaint, but defaulted in answering the complaint on 4/30/2021. The County is filing a motion seeking a default judgment against you, to obtain forfeiture of the motor vehicle you employed to commit that DWI offense. Given the COVID pañdemic, and to ensure that your defaults are, in no way a result of same, we are going to afford you one final period to cure your defaults in this case. We will afford you until Wednesday, January 19. 2022 to cure your defaults by filing an answer to the complaint in this action. Should you fail to do so, on 1/19/22, we will ask the Court to grant our motion, to enable the County to obtain forfeiture of your vehicle. Very truly yours, . . Campanelli & Associates, P.C.
