in response to your request and after review of the documentation you submitted
pertaining to HUD's determination, this is to advise you that for requirement contracts
administered by Operation Services for Boiler Welding & Repair, the proper classification is
Boiler Serviceperson in Section 230. Welders receive the rate prescribed for the craft
performing operation to which welding is incidental.
I have attached a copy of the current Section 230 rate for Boiler Serviceperson. This
rate is effective from 7/1/O0 through 6/30/01, unless the City Comptroller issues an
addendum. It isyour responsibility to become aware of and pay the rate in effect at the time
the work is performed. You may contact our office or the Office of the City Comptroller to
ascertain ifthere have been any changes in the rates.

comptroller's office eliminated the Boiler Service Person classification.
We conferred with Wasyl Kinach's (comptroller) office and were advised to use the Refrigeration and Air
Conditioner Service Person in Section 220 schedule.
