Good morning,
It has come to my attention that Eli wrote a letter of site control to Practice of Peace
Foundation (POP) on December 10, 2020 for the aforementioned site knowing that
DHS was already working with WestCOP. I spoke with Eli a few minutes ago and he
explained that it was an oversight on his part due to some confusion. However, this is
now causing all types of issues. You all need to revoke the site control issued to POP.
This is your responsibility to correct. In addition to revoking the letter, you should also
contact them directly to explain the situation. It is pointless for me to continue to reach
out to them when you’ve told them something different.
Additionally, you need to write a letter to this agency explaining the situation and
confirming that WestCOP in fact holds site control, and is working with you to open this
site for shelter this year. Please prioritize this today so that we can close this matter.
Thanks,
