JOINT STATEMENT OF THE CASE
This case concerns a car accident that occurred on May 10, 2015, on Skyline Drive in Red
Wing, Minnesota.
Kathy Randall is the plaintiff in this civil case. At the time of the crash, Ms. Randall was a
passenger in a vehicle driven by her husband David Verstraete.
Ms. Randall has brought a claim for monetary damages against the driver of the other
vehicle, Timothy Smith, because Ms. Randall alleges that she suffered physical injuries in the crash
and has incurred medical expenses and pain and suffering since the crash.
Mr. Smith is the defendant in the case. Mr. Smith has denied that he was at fault for causing
the crash and disputed the nature and extent of the physical injuries that Ms. Randall sustained in
the crash.
