which is the manner most likely to give actual notice of this proceeding to Defendant, Kerry
Sanford and all occupants, tenants, subtenants and named claimants. This Application is made
pursuant to Section 415.45 of the Code of Civil Procedure, and is being brought on the ground
that Defendant Kerry Sanford and all occupants, tenants, subtenants and named claimants cannot

In support of this Application, the undersigned declares:
1. I am an attorney licensed to practice before all courts of the State of California
and am the attomey of record for Plaintiff's in the above-captioned action.
2. The subject premises is located at 1820 25th Street, San Francisco, CA 94107.
3. A complaint for unlawful detainer was filed on September 14, 2016.
4. Defendant has failed to answer the door to his residence, when called upon by the
process server.
5. Four attempts have been made, on different days and times, to personally deliver
the summons and complaint to Defendant Kerry Sanford and all occupants, tenants, subtenants
and named claimants. The declaration of process server Eric Montoya which is attached hereto
marked as Exhibit “A” and incorporated herein, shows the dates and times of the attempts to
serve process upon Kerry Sanford, and further shows that such attempts were unsuccessful.
6. Plaintiffs and their agents are unaware of Defendant’s place of employment, if
any.
