CHAPTER 7 BANKRUPTCY PROCEEDINGS
COMES NOW the Defendant, MEGAN KOVACS, by and through her undersigned attorney,
hereby files this Suggestion of the Pendency of Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Proceedings and say:
1. On January 2, 2018, Defendant, MEGAN KOVACS, filed a Voluntary Petition for Chapter 7
relief in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division, Case
Number 8: 18-bk-0001 1.
2. The debt herein is founded upon a claim from which a discharge in Bankruptcy would be a
release.
3. The right to discharge has not been determined by the Bankruptcy Court, nor lost, nor waived.
4. Section 362 of the Bankruptcy Act provides that the filing of said petition shall operate as a
stay of the commencement of any action against the Debtor.
5. That this suggestion of bankruptcy shall not be construed as a Notice of Appearance of
pleading, but only notice to this Court and to the Plaintiff of the Chapter 7 Bankruptcy filing and of the
imposition of the automatic stay on these state court proceedings pursuant to Federal Law.
