The purpose of this hearing is to determine if there was a lawful reason why you did not obey the Court's
previous orders. Thus, you should bring with you to the hearing any documentary or other evidence that you clairh
shows that you were prevented from paying child support as ordered. For example, if you contend that you are
disabled and unable to wark, bring current documentation from your doctor that states specifically you are
unable to work due to your injury or disability (if you have applied for disability benefits, bring a copy of that
application); evidence of job loss; evidence of job searches; documentation regarding any workman’s compensation
claims, personal injury or social security application that you are pursuing. You will also need to bring with you any
witnesses you want to call on your behalf. Failure to provide the Court with this evidence or documentation may
bear upon the Court's willingness to find that you have a valid legal reason for not performing the obligations
imposed upon you by the Court order in this matter.
