Pursuant to California Code Civ. Proc. § 2019.210, Plaintiff Apple Inc. (“Apple”) hereby
identifies the trade secrets at issue in this action (the “Trade Secrets”). Apple reserves the right to
amend the following designation, as additional or different information is obtained or learned through
discovery or further investigation. The Trade Secrets include the following information, and all
documents and electronic files containing this information!:
The Trade Secrets derive independent economic value to Apple from the fact that they are not
generally known to the public or to Apple’s competitors who could obtain economic value from their
disclosure or use. The Trade Secrets are also subject to reasonable—indeed significant—efforts by
Apple to maintain their secrecy, including “Need-To-Know” limitations on who can access them and
prominent markings indicating that they are confidential.
' Apple’s disclosure clearly identifies the information at issue while avoiding the use of secret code
names for these projects.
