Best Neighborhood Rentals Llc v. Arina Kochneva, Andre Rvalov

This is an action for defamation and tortious interference with business

relationships brought by Plaintiff, a corporate housing rental business (for lease periods greater

than thirty (30) days), against Defendants, two individuals who reside in a building in which

Plaintiff operates its business. Defendants have defamed Plaintiff by baselessly accusing

Plaintiff of operating an “illegal hotel”, and by making excessive, constant, and utterly

unwarranted complaints to 311, including by making false accusations that Plaintiff was engaged

in illegal conduct to other tenants and occupants in the Building as well as to Plaintiff’s landlord.

In doing so, Defendants also have tortiously interfered with Plaintiff’s business operations at the

subject Building. As a result of Defendants’ wrongful conduct, Plaintiff has suffered significant

business interruptions and losses.
