Plaintiff complains pursuant to the New York State Human Rights Law, New York State

Executive Law §§ 296 et seq., the New York City Human Rights Law, New York City

Administrative Code §§ 8-502(a) et seq., and New York common law, and seeks damages

to redress the injuries Plaintiff has suffered as a result of being assaulted, battered, sexually

harassed, and discriminated against on the basis of gender (female) and gender identity.

Specifically, Plaintiff was physically assaulted and sexually harassed by Defendant

JOSEPH KASAMBA, a nurse practitioner at Defendant WOODHULL MEDICAL

AND MENTAL HEALTH CENTER, when she visited the hospital for a routine

psychological evaluation, and was thereafter held against her will at Defendant

WOODHULL HOSPITAL’s Psychiatric Ward for six days until she was finally

released.
