Determining the Availability of a Deposit

The length of 1he delay Is counted In business days from the day of your deposit. Every day Is a business day except

Saturdays, Sundays and the following holidays: January 1, the third Monday in January, the third Monday In February,

the last Monday In May, July 4, the first Monday In September, the second Monday In October, November 11, the fourth

Thursday in November,or December 25. If January 1, July 4, November 11, or December 25 fall on a Sunday, the next

Monday is not a business day. If you make a deposit before 3:00 P.M. on a business day that we are open, we will

consider that day to be the day of your deposit. However, If you make a deposit after 3:00 P.M., or on a day that Is not

a business day, we will consider that the deposit was made on the next business day we are open. Funds malled to

Signature Bank are considered depos!!ed on the business day they are received by Signature Bank. Funds deposited

to a night depository, lock box or similar facility are considered deposited on the on the day on which the deposit is

removed from such facillty and is available for processing by Signature Bank.

Please note that a check you deposit may be retumed unpaid after we have made the funds available to you. lf this

happens, the amount of the returned check will be deducted from your account balance, and there will be a service

charge.

Funds from the following deposits are available on the day of your deposit:

Wire transfers

Electronic Direct Deposits, such as social security benefits and payroll payments.

Next-Day AvailablHty

Funds from the following deposits are available on the first business day after the day of your deposit:

U.S. Treasury checks

Checks drawn on Signature Bank

Federal Reserve Bank checks, Federal Home Loan Bank checks, postal money orders, and travelers checks.

New York State uvvomn.ont and New York local government checks li you use a special deposit slip available at

Signature Bank's Financial Centers *

Cashlefs, certified, and tellets checks If you use a special deposit slip available at Signature Bank's Financial

Centers *

*At your request, we also will provide you with the special deposit slips for depositing these checks by mall or at non-

staffed facilities, such as Signature Bank's ATM's.
