This complaint is filed pursuant to the Child Victims Act (CVA), CPLR 214-g, and
22 NYCRR 202.72, because it pertains to intentional or negligent acts or omissions by a person
for physical, psychological, or other injuries suffered as a result of child sexual abuse.
In approximately 1974, Plaintiff Ronnie King was a minor parishioner at Defendant
Our Lady of Victory Church within Defendant Saint Martin De Porres Parish, in Kings County,
New York. A priest routinely abused the power of his position and repeatedly sexually abused Mr.
King.
The emotional and psychological trauma associated with his sexual abuse has
haunted Mr. King for his entire life. He has been and remains confused, traumatized, and ashamed
