Whenever any city or town is selling or proposes to sell water to a district, the city or town may by ordinance accept a conveyance of any distributing system and enter into a contract with the district for the maintenance and repair of the system and the supplying of water to the district consumers.[ 1996 c 230 § 308; 1933 c 142 § 3; RRS § 11586-3.]
