(1) Inactive status may be granted to licensees who have made a request in writing to the Board. Inactive licensees may not practice professional counseling or marriage and family therapy in the State of Oregon, and are required to reactivate to active status in order to practice.
(2) To reactivate a license from inactive status to active status, the licensee shall submit a written request and fee to the Board.
(a) The licensee must document completion of continuing education activities which at a minimum meet the requirements described in OAR Chapter 833, Division 80 within the 24 month period immediately preceding the requested date of reactivation.(b) If the license reactivation is to occur more than five years after inactive status was granted, the Board will not reactivate the license until the licensee retakes the Oregon law and rules exam and obtains a passing score.(c) The residual continuing education requirements from the date of reactivation to the end of the reporting period shall be calculated on a prorated basis.Or.
