(1) "Automatic or alternative entry" means the methods for entering a Take Your Shot, Oregon! drawing in which a person's vaccination is reported to the Oregon Health Authority either directly by the vaccine provider (applies to most Oregonians) or manually reported (for those Oregonians who received their vaccination through a federal agency or in another state or country) by the person themselves or on behalf of a minor child as described in OAR 177-054-0050(1).
 
(2) "County-specific drawing" means a Take Your Shot, Oregon! drawing in which only eligible entries for individuals 18 years of age or older that are associated with a physical address within that county are eligible to win a prize.
 
(3) "Education scholarship drawing" means a Take Your Shot, Oregon! drawing in which eligible Oregonians age 12 to 17 are eligible to win scholarships which are awarded to each winner's eligible parent or guardian to hold in trust for the benefit of the minor. Such drawings may include all eligible entrants statewide or, in the case of county-funded scholarship prizes, only those eligible entrants who reside in a particular county.
 
(4) "Eligible entries" means all Oregonians whose COVID-19 vaccination was reported to the Oregon Health Authority through automatic or alternative entry in time to be included in a Take Your Shot, Oregon! drawing as described in OAR 177-054-0050.
 
(5) "Oregonian," "resident of Oregon" and "resides in Oregon" means, as used in these rules, a person who reports that their primary physical residence is within the state of Oregon.
 
(6) "Selected winner" means the unique identification number selected by the Lottery to win a drawing conducted pursuant to these rules. Such selected winner is not entitled to receive a prize until winner validation is completed and it is established that the person meets all eligibility and prize claim requirements.
 
(7) "Share" means an opportunity to win a prize in a Lottery game that does not use certificates or tokens.
 
(8) "Statewide drawings" means drawings that include all eligible entries for individuals age 18 or older to win a cash prize.
 
(9) "Take Your Shot, Oregon! Prize Claim Form" means a prize claim form that must be completed and signed and received by the Lottery by the applicable deadline in order to receive a prize in a Take Your Shot, Oregon! drawing. All requested information must be provided including, but not limited to, information needed to confirm eligibility; information needed to withhold taxes and conduct any statutorily required offsets; and affirmative consent to publicize the prize winners name, image, city and county of residence, and other similar information in press releases and similar promotional materials.
 
(10) "Unique identification number" means a unique set of numbers or letters or a combination of numbers and letters assigned to a person by the Oregon Health Authority upon confirmation that the person has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by the applicable drawing deadline. The unique identification number obscures the person's identity to protect the person's health information, which is only known to the Oregon Health Authority, until the person verbally consents to have their information released as described in these rules.
 
(11) "Validation activities" means checks the Lottery, the Oregon Health Authority, or other entities as authorized by these rules will undertake to verify a selected winner's eligibility for Take Your Shot, Oregon!
