(A) A person who holds a current, valid
license issued under Chapter 4723. of the Revised Code to practice as an
advanced practice registered nurse may take any action that may be taken by an
attending physician under sections 2133.21 to 2133.26 of the Revised Code and
this chapter and has the immunity provided by section 2133.22 of the Revised
Code and rule 3701-62-03 of the Administrative Code if the action is taken
pursuant to a standard care arrangement with a collaborating physician or, if
the APRN is a certified registered nurse anesthetist, under the supervision and
direction of a physician.
(B) A person who holds a license to
practice as a physician assistant pursuant to Chapter 4730. of the Revised Code
may take any action that may be taken by an attending physician under sections
2133.21 to 2133.26 of the Revised Code and this chapter and has the immunity
provided by section 2133.22 of the Revised Code and rule 3701-62-03 of the
Administrative Code if the action is taken pursuant to a supervision agreement
with a supervising physician pursuant to section 4730.19 of the Revised Code or
the policies of a health care facility in which the PA is working.
