11270.  

Applicants for and recipients of Aid to Families with Dependent Children who are not exempt from registration under Section 11310 and who are apparently eligible for unemployment insurance shall, as a condition of eligibility, apply for, meet all the conditions of eligibility for, and accept any unemployment insurance benefits for which the Employment Development Department determines they are eligible. Upon determination that individuals registered under Section 11310 have failed to meet all the conditions of eligibility for unemployment insurance, the county shall make a good cause determination under standards established by
the department. These standards shall be the same as those which govern the Work Incentive Program. Applicants and recipients who are exempt from work registration under Section 11310 and who are apparently eligible for unemployment insurance benefits shall, as a condition of eligibility, apply for and accept any unemployment insurance benefits for which the Employment Development Department determines they are eligible. The department shall establish by regulations the standards to determine apparent eligibility for unemployment insurance.
