The Hon. Warren C. Caswell is a judge for the Northern Judicial Circuit Juvenile Court in Georgia. He was appointed to the bench in 2009.
The Northern Judicial Circuit is composed of Elbert, Franklin, Hart, Madison, and Oglethorpe Counties.
Over the course of his judicial career, Caswell has also presided over the Canon Municipal Court, the Hartwell Municipal Court, and the Lavonia Municipal Court (2009 to 2016).
Caswell earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics from the University of Georgia in 2000. He then completed a J.D. at Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2003. As a law student, Caswell was a law clerk at Preis, Bergeron & Gordon (2001 to 2002). He was admitted to practice in Louisiana (2003) and Georgia (2004).
After graduating from law school, Caswell began his legal career at Bergeron & Caswell in Baton Rouge, assisting in the defense of high limit excess property insurers. He also represented individuals and small businesses in civil cases.
Then, in 2004, Caswell relocated to Georgia. He opened his own private practice as a sole practitioner in Madison County, where he represented individuals and businesses in all of their legal needs. During this time, he also served as general counsel for Olen Construction, Inc. (2006 to 2011).
His memberships have included the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Georgia Bar Association, the Northern Judicial Circuit Bar Association, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges.
