The Hon. Walter H. Sanders, Jr. is the master-in-equity for the Allendale County Equity Court in South Carolina. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Carroll Campbell in 1991.
Over the course of his judicial career, Sanders has also presided as a judge for the Allendale Municipal Court, the Fairfax Municipal Court, the Brunson Municipal Court, and the Varnville Municipal Court.
Sanders earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of South Carolina in 1974. He then completed a J.D. at the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1977.
His memberships have included the Allendale County Jaycees, the Fairfax Lions Club, and the Allendale County Gamecock Club. He has also been involved with the Board of the Allendale County Rural Health Program and the Allendale County Foster Review Board.
Sanders was born in Fairfax, South Carolina, where he attended Allendale Fairfax High School. He and his wife, Cynthia, have two children. The family attends First Baptist Church of Fairfax.
