The Hon. W. Scott Rosenberg is a magistrate for the Davidson County Juvenile Court in Tennessee. He was appointed to the bench by the Hon. Betty Adams Green in 1998.
Prior to his appointment, Rosenberg was a sole practitioner in his own private practice, a domestic relations practice he opened in 1997. Before that, he spent four years handling child support cases as an attorney with Joyce, Meredith, Flitcroft & Normand in Oak Ridge (1993 to 1997).
Rosenberg earned a bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University. He then completed a J.D. at the Nashville School of Law in 1990.
After graduating from law school, Rosenberg began his legal career as an assistant district attorney general with the Child Support Division of the 20th Judicial District Attorney General’s Office in Nashville. He served in that capacity until 1993, at which time he entered into private practice.
His memberships have included the Department of Human Services’ Child Support Guideline Advisory Committee (2005) and its Enhanced Child Support Enforcement Committee (2006). He has also been involved with the National Judicial Child Support Task Force, and he played an instrumental role in founding the Nashville School of Law’s Juvenile Court Custody Clinic.
