The Hon. W. Page Bellamy is an associate judge for the 15th Judicial Circuit Court of Missouri. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jay Nixon in 2016, filling a vacancy created by the resignation of his brother, the Hon. James T. Bellamy.
The 15th Judicial Circuit includes Saline County and Lafayette County.
Prior to his appointment, Bellamy was the Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, a position to which he was named in 2012. Before that, he spent time as Chief Counsel for the Public Safety Division of the Missouri Attorney General’s Office (2009 to 2012).
Bellamy earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Westminster College in 1985. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 1988.
After graduating from law school, Bellamy began his legal career as an assistant public defender for the Missouri State Public Defender’s Office. He served in that capacity until 1995, at which time he became a prosecuting attorney for the Lafayette County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
He is registered as a Democrat.
