The Hon. Vartan A. Davidian is a judge for the Wake County District Court in the 10th Judicial District of North Carolina. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Pat McCrory in 2014, filling a vacancy created by the resignation of the Hon. Ned Mangum.
Prior to his appointment, Davidian was a partner at Sandlin & Davidian in Raleigh, a law firm he joined in 2002. His practice encompassed criminal law, family law, juvenile law, and civil litigation.
Davidian earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1991. He then completed a J.D. at Regent University School of Law in 1999.
After graduating from law school, Davidian began his legal career in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the United States Navy. He served in that capacity until 2002, representing clients in felony and misdemeanor charges as well as tenant, estate planning, domestic relations, and consumer law matters.
