The Hon. Tony C. Fazzio is a magistrate for the 14th Judicial District Court of Louisiana in Calcasieu Parish. He was elected to the bench in 2020.
Fazzio received a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Louisiana State University. He then completed a J.D. at Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center, in 2010.
After graduating from law school, Fazzio began his legal career as a judicial law clerk for the 14th Judicial District Court. Following his clerkship, he ventured into private practice in Baton Rouge, where he handled civil litigation, including mortgage banking law matters. Then, in 2012, Fazzio returned to Lake Charles, joining the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office as an assistant district attorney. During his tenure there, he was Section Chief of the Misdemeanor and Juvenile Divisions and was involved with the Drug Court Program.
Fazzio returned to private practice at the Sanchez Law Firm, where his practice focused on criminal defense.
His memberships include the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association and its Young Lawyers Section. Fazzio is a past president of the Calcasieu Soccer Club and a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.
Fazzio, a native of Lake Charles, Louisiana, attended St. Louis Catholic High School. In his free time, Fazzio enjoys running, coaching and playing soccer, reading, duck hunting, rooting for the LSU Tigers, and spending time with his family. You can also find him playing catch with his dog, Anna.
He is registered as a Republican.
