The Hon. Todd M. Sponseller is a judge for the Franklin-Fulton County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. He was elected to the bench on November 3, 2015.
Sponseller earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania in 1992. He then completed a J.D. at West Virginia University College of Law in 1999.
After graduating from law school, Sponseller entered into private practice in West Virginia, specializing in civil litigation matters. He worked as an associate at McQueen, Harmon & Murphy (2001 to 2003), Campbell Woods (2003 to 2006), Pullen, Fowler & Flanigan (2006), and Bailey & Wyant (2006 to 2010).
Then, in 2010, Sponseller relocated to Pennsylvania. He continued working in private practice, this time as an associate at DiLoreto Cosentio Bolinger. However, shortly after joining the firm, Sponseller left to open his own private practice as a sole practitioner, handling civil litigation, criminal law, and family law matters.
His memberships have included the National Rifle Association. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Chambersburg Council for the Arts, the Franklin County Visitors Bureau, and the Chambersburg Area School District Foundation.
Sponseller was born and raised in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. When not presiding over legal matters, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family. They attend the Presbyterian Church of the Falling Spring in Chambersburg.
